UCC Congratulates Newly Appointed Parliamentary Secretaries

Winnipeg, MB – November 8, 2008- Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed yesterday a new team of Parliamentary Secretaries who will have the responsibility for helping guide the Government’s agenda inside the House of Commons.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, National President, Paul Grod, congratulates the newly appointed team of Parlimentary Secretaries, in particular Mark Warwara, Ed Komarnicki and Tom Lukiwski, who are of Ukrainian descent.

Mr. Grod stated that “I am particularly pleased to see that the Prime Minister’s appointments of Parlimentary Secretaries directly reflects the diversity of Canada’s cultural communities.” He also hopes, “that issues important to the Ukrainian Canadian community will be address by the new government for the benefit of all Canadians.”
