The Ontario Legislature unanimously passed Bill-155 in March 2011 and proclaimed September

7th of each year Ukrainian Heritage Day. That’s the day in 1891 when the first Ukrainian

immigrants arrived in Canada. Each Sept 7th we celebrate our province, people and culture.
