The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) is excited to announce the selection of five Community Animators as part of the UCC’s Canada 150 project “Youth Engaging Youth”.
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress will work with our member organizations and community across the country to organize youth-led and driven Canada 150 celebratory events.
Community animators will organize events (cultural, entertainment, sport, etc.) and work in partnership with youth from Indigenous communities, and youth from other ethnocultural and linguistic backgrounds in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
- Galyna Paliychuk, British Columbia
- Christina Kushka, Alberta
- Nykole King, Saskatchewan

“These young people have a passion for our community and are excited about sharing our culture,” said Ihor Michalchyshyn, UCC Chief Executive Officer. “ They will work with volunteers, and youth across the country to celebrate the 150th anniversary of our great country.”
