Influencing Decision Makers
In order to attain our goals, secure funding and have our community voice heard on issues of importance, our community regularly needs to connect, engage and influence key decision makers, particularly elected government representatives. How can we best do that? This workshop will focus on how to expand our
community’s political influence to help move our priorities forward and provide you with ideas and practices to implement in your community. Learn the most important activities in working with decision makers for the community. |

Creating the Vision: Meeting the Needs of Your Future Members
Building for the future of our community and our organizations will be the key focus of this workshop. How can we attract young professionals into our community organizations? What are their needs? How can we more effectively engage new Ukrainian immigrants into our structured community? Why do we think they
should become involved in our organizations? Is what we do today relevant to potential new members? Do we accurately anticipate what will attract new members to our organizations?
Another key question will be about how our organizations operate today. We will look at what services your organization provides, what makes you different from other organizations and what will attract new members to your organization.
Do we need to change our focus to become a more services oriented community?
You will leave this session with a plan of action of what you are going to do to engage your future members. You will have a stronger organization when more members start joining because you know what will draw them to you. |

We encourage all participants to come prepared to share their experiences, materials, ideas and successes with others. |
