The Ukrainian Canadian Congress-Saskatchewan Provincial Council is an inclusive, self-sustaining, vibrant organization that serves the Saskatchewan Ukrainian community to maintain, develop and share its Ukrainian Canadian identity, culture and aspirations.Established in 1972, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Saskatchewan Provincial Council is a branch of the national Ukrainian Canadian Congress. The UCC-SPC provincial office is in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The UCC–SPC is the umbrella body for the organized Ukrainian community in Saskatchewan and has 7 Branches (Battlefords, Canora, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Weyburn, Yorkton) and 185 member organizations.The UCC-SPC has a proactive membership from a cross-section of the Ukrainian community. It successfully communicates with government, constituents and other stakeholders. Its goal is to be an information leader in all things Ukrainian in Saskatchewan.UCC-SPC supports and promotes Ukrainian language and other Ukrainian study programs in the province’s schools and universities, the Ukrainian-Canadian Arts, dance and music, festivals as well as family and business contacts between Saskatchewan and Ukraine.The UCC-SPC is recognized by the Ukrainian community as its leader. It is a forum for the Ukrainian community of Saskatchewan, which is inclusive and proud of its diversity. UCC-SPC is a professionally run and representative organization. The organization is dynamic, responsive and connected with clearly defined goals and healthy member organizations. It serves as a bridge between Ukrainians in Saskatchewan, Canada and around the world.
