UKRAINIAN DAY ON THE HILL MARKED 120TH ANNIVERSARY OF UKRAINIAN SETTLEMENT IN CANADA
The Ukrainian Canadian community celebrated the 120th anniversary of Ukrainian Pioneer settlement in Canada this year. As part of these celebrations, the Ukrainian Canadian community co-hosted an event at the Government Conference Centre in Ottawa on October 24, 2011.
Hosted jointly by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, Ukrainian Day on the Hill was an opportunity to view some of the achievements of Canada’s 1.25 million strong Ukrainian Canadian community, while witnessing our uniquely Ukrainian Canadian culture and experiencing Ukrainian cuisine.
