The Ukrainian National Federation of Canada and its affiliated organizations, the Ukrainian War Veterans Association, the Ukrainian Women’s Organization of Canada, and the Ukrainian National Youth Federation of Canada, held an extraordinary convention in at the UNF Toronto Trident Conference Centre on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, 2011. The special convention was called as a follow up to last October’s 36th UNF National Convention in Montreal, and dealt with constitutional and governance issues. Delegates also discussed plans for the upcoming celebrations to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UNF in Edmonton in 1932, and as well as the 37th UNF National Convention to be held in that city in the fall of 2012 to commemorate this historic event.

Українське Національне Об’єднання Канади та Братні Організації: Українська Стрілецька Громада, Організація Українок Канади та Українське Національне Об’єднання Молоді Канади провели Надзвичайний З’їзд в конференц-залі УНО Торонто “Тризуб”. З’їзд відбувся 6 та 7 травня 2011 року. Надзвичайний З’їзд був результатом 36-го Крайового З’їзду УНО, що відбувся у жовтні 2010 року у Монтреалі. Під час Надзвичайного З’їзду обговорювались конституційні зміни та питання управління. Крім того, делегати обговорили плани про майбутнє святкування з нагоди 80-річчя з дня заснування УНО в Едмонтоні в 1932 році, а також 37-го Крайового З’їзду УНО, який відбудеться в цьому ж місті восени 2012 року для відзначення цієї важливої історичної події.
