WASHINGTON, D.C. – The State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States will conduct a series of road-shows, “Ukraine: The Best Investment Opportunities,” from the 7th to the 10th of November, 2011 in the United States. The Road-show is focused on new and real investment possibilities in the largest country in Europe with huge and yet undiscovered potential.
Since 2010 Ukraine has considerably accelerated economic reform and has numerous achievements in improving the investment climate. The road-show presentations will cover several issues, including the investment climate, legal requirements and provisions for investment in Ukraine, information on the State Agency (its primary tasks and functions, the ways in which Agency can contribute to the international investors’ activities, etc.); moreover, the 5 top-priority National Projects of Ukraine will be presented.
Vladyslav Kaskiv, head of the State Agency, will lead the road-shows on a two month tour of 16 of the major global financial centers in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
ROAD-SHOW PRESENTED IN FOUR UNITED STATES CITIES —
The “Ukraine: The Best Investment Opportunities” road-show will be presented in the following U.S. cities:
1. NEW YORK – Monday, November 7, 2011
2. CHICAGO – Tuesday, November 8, 2011
3. HOUSTON – Wednesday, November 9, 2011
4. WASHINGTON, D.C – Thursday, November 10, 2011
TOP-UKRAINIAN INVESTMENT PROJECTS —
The road-show program presents an overview of Ukrainian investment opportunities and features five of the top Ukrainian investment projects that will change the country’s face:
1. LNG-TERMINAL – the construction of a new terminal in the south of Ukraine: complete change of the gas market of Ukraine
2. ENERGY OF NATURE – projects pipeline on the development of bio-energy of Ukraine. “Energy of Nature” projects are to become a driving force for new industry
development and significantly reduce energy dependence of Ukraine on gas.
3. CLEAN CITY – construction of 10 complexes on waste recycling in selected cities of Ukraine. “Clean City” projects are crucially important to solve ecological and
infrastructure problems of the country.
4. OPEN WORLD – launching of a broadband net access (4G) in schools. “Open World” is a new level for the general education of Ukraine based on the best world
technologies.
5. OLYMPIC HOPE 2022 – projects on the development of sport and tourism infrastructure in western Ukraine. Ukraine wishes to hold the Winter Olympic Games in 2022.
The infrastructure will stay in Ukraine and stimulate the development of the entire western region.
All the projects are conducted with the support of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine and under the auspices of the President of Ukraine.
ROAD-SHOW PROGRAM —
The speakers at the road-shows will be top level officials from the government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States and experts on the National Projects.
