The Ukrainian Canadian Congress along with all our constituent organizations are built upon volunteerism and rely exclusively on community donations. I would like to recognize and thank the volunteers and generous sponsors who made tonight’s Tribute so special.
Ladies and gentlemen please hold you applause until I have concluded my thanks.
Firstly I would like to recognize and thank our generous sponsors that are listed in your program booklets. Among those sponsors, I would like to single out Northland Power, Caravan Logistics and Rodan Energy that have made significant annual pledges to the Congress and form UCC’s President’s Circle. Thank you to the tribute committee – (Co-chairs) Lydia Falcomer and Renata Roman, Fedir Danylak, Anna Harasym, Sonia Holiad, Olia Kalymon, Nadia Prokopiw, Peter Schturyn, Markian Shwec and Lesya Winnicki. Thanks to Roman Melnyk who chaired our selection committee. Thank you to our dancers, singers, musicians and all the volunteers. Lastly, I would like to thank the former president and CEO of CTVglobemedia Inc. Mr. Ivan Fecan for masterfully conducting our ceremonies this evening.
