Youth Leadership Awards
Three years ago, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress established the Youth Leadership Award of Excellence. Our goal is to recognize outstanding leadership of young adults that have made significant contributions to the broader Ukrainian community and for the betterment of Canada. Leadership in the community can be expressed through excellence in communication, in initiatives undertaken, and in work that establishes a positive profile for the Ukrainian Canadian community.
Today we honour three extraordinary individuals, whose biographies are found in tonight’s program booklet:
Kristin Glover,
Christina Sawchyn,
and Andrew Wodoslawsky.
Kristin, Andrew and Christina, on behalf of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress I thank you for your hard work and congratulate you for your leadership in Canadian society. Having watched your development over the last several years, I can attest to your accomplishments as roll models to young Canadians, as community organizers and as ambassadors for Canada abroad.
Ladies and gentlemen, it brings me great pleasure to recognize these three extraordinary individuals by awarding them with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Youth Leadership Award of Excellence.
Prime Minister, would you please join me in congratulating these young community leaders.
