On June 20, 2020 Canadians will mark the 100th anniversary of the official end of Canada’s First Internment Operations, which occurred in 1914–1920. Over eight thousand Canadians of Ukrainian, German, Austrian, and other Eastern European descent were imprisoned in twenty-four internment and forced labour camps across Canada.
