The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Alexander Hordienko, who passed away on June 5 in Toronto. Mr. Hordienko was 81.
A community leader, activist and volunteer, Mr. Hordienko was one of the founders of the Czopa Palijiw Ukrainian School. For many years Mr. Hordienko he dedicated tireless efforts to serving our Ukrainian Canadian community – in Plast, Ukrainian National Federation, Ukrainian Canadian Social Services and UCC Toronto branch, and many other organizations and causes. Mr. Hordienko will be remembered by all who knew him for his kindness, integrity, generosity and humour. He will be greatly missed.
