As the UCC 2020 Annual Campaign continues, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to donors new and old who have graciously given in support of the UCC’s work (please see the list of donors who donated to the Annual Campaign below).
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome to our UCC family our new President’s Club members Lesia & Wesley Shipowick.
Wes and his wife Lesia have been following our work for quite some time. They have been very impressed with the UCC’s work and are committed to making sure that our community continues to flourish for generations to come.
The Shipowick family cherishes the fact that “the UCC represents and protects the interests of the Ukrainian Canadian Community and is not affiliated with any external organization or religious group”. They appreciate our programs and the work that we do to keep our community vibrant, informed, and growing. Even though Wes’s family came to Canada in 1899, he cares and is proud of his heritage. For this reason, he is involved as a volunteer in our community. He is a former board member at the St. Vladimir Institute (his son Adam now continues the tradition). Wes is also a member of the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, Ontario branch. His wife Lesia, an independent artist and educator, is part of the first generation of Ukrainian Canadians volunteering her time for our community as well.
Wes and Lesia, thank you for choosing the UCC as your trusted friend!
