October 16, 2020. OTTAWA, ON. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) congratulates Eugene Czolij on his appointment as Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal. Mr. Czolij signed the agreement to take on the role of Honorary Consul today in an online ceremony.

“It will be both an honour and duty for me to fulfill the obligations of Honorary Consul by promoting the interests of Ukraine in Canada and furthering the development of commercial, economic, cultural and scientific relations between the two countries,” stated Mr. Czolij.
Eugene Czolij was President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress from 1998-2004. He was President of the Ukrainian World Congress from 2008 to 2018. Since 2019, he has been President of NGO “Ukraine-2050.”
“On behalf of the Ukrainian Canadian community, I congratulate Mr. Czolij on his appointment,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “Mr. Czolij’s leadership, patriotism, experience and commitment to service will be an asset in strengthening the bonds of friendship between Canada and Ukraine. OTTAWA, ON, le 16 octobre 2020. Le Congrès des Ukrainiens Canadiens (CUC) souhaite féliciter Eugene Czolij pour sa nomination en tant que Consul honoraire de l’Ukraine à Montréal. M. Czolij a accepté sa charge de Consul honoraire en ratifiant l’accord aujourd’hui lors d’une cérémonie en ligne.

« Ce sera pour moi à la fois un honneur et un devoir de remplir les fonctions de Consul honoraire en faisant la promotion des intérêts de l’Ukraine au Canada et en poursuivant le développement des relations commerciales, économiques, culturelles et scientifiques entre ces deux pays », a déclaré M. Czolij.
Eugene Czolij fut le Président du Congrès des Ukrainiens Canadiens de 1998 à 2004. Il fut le Président du Congrès mondial ukrainien de 2008 à 2018. Depuis 2019, M. Czolij est le Président de l’ONG « Ukraine-2050 ».

16-го жовтня, 2020 р. ОТТАВА, ОН. Конґрес Українців Канади вітає Евгена Чолія з нагоди його призначення Почесним Консулом України в м. Монреалі. Сьогодні пан Чолій підписав угоду про призначення під час онлайн церемонії.

Евген Чолій – Президент Конґресу Українців Канади від 1998 до 2004 р. У 2008-2018 р, пан Чолій був Президентом Світового Конґресу Українців. Від 2019 року – Президент Громадської організації «Україна-2050»
