June 26th marks Crimean Tatar Flag Day, the flag of the Crimean Tatar People, the Indigenous People of Ukraine’s Crimea. Today, Crimea suffers under the ninth year of Russian occupation, and the Crimean Tatar People are subject to systematic violations of their human rights, national rights and cultural rights.
Today the Crimean Tatar People, as all peoples of Ukraine, fight bravely against Russia’s genocidal war on Ukraine. We are certain that one day soon, both the Crimean Tatar Flag and the Ukrainian flag will fly once again in the cities and towns of Crimea. Two Flags. One Country. Два прапори – єдина країна.
