February 24, 2023 will mark one year since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) invites all Canadians to join us on February 24 to Stand With Ukraine.
“For the past year, the heroic Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Ukrainian people have stood united in defence of freedom in Europe in the face of Russia’s genocidal onslaught. The courage and determination of the Ukrainian people inspire the world,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “To mark 365 days of Ukraine’s resistance against Russia’s war please join us on February 24 to show that all Canadians Stand With Ukraine!”
The Ukrainian Canadian community is organizing events across Canada on the evening of February 24. We will pay tribute to the courage of the Ukrainian people and honour the memory of the thousands of innocent people murdered by Russia’s genocidal war of aggression against Ukraine. May the Memory of the Victims Be Eternal. Вічная Пам’ять.
The UCC expresses its gratitude to all Canadians for their generous assistance to many worthy humanitarian and charitable causes in support of Ukraine and for their welcome of over 100,000 Ukrainians who have sought refuge in Canada from Russia’s war.
We continue to collect donations to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal which works in Ukraine to provide humanitarian assistance quickly and efficiently to those in need in Ukraine to address any
further aggression by Russia.
