July, 26, 2023. OTTAWA, ON. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) congratulates the new members of Canada’s Federal Cabinet, sworn in today.
“As the Ukrainian people heroically defend Ukraine’s independence and the freedom of Europe from Russia’s genocidal war of aggression, the UCC will continue to advocate strongly for increased Canadian military and economic assistance to Ukraine,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “We are particularly grateful to outgoing Minister of Defence Anita Anand for her resolute support of Ukraine and Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Sean Fraser for his work in welcoming Ukrainian displaced persons to Canada. We wish Minister Anand and Minister Fraser all success in their new portfolios. We look forward to working closely with all new Ministers on the issues of importance to our community.”
