August 21, 2023. OTTAWA, ON. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) expresses its sincere gratitude to Her Excellency Larisa Galadza, outgoing Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine. Ambassador Galadza completes her term on August 1.
Ambassador Galadza began her term as Canada’s Ambassador to Ukraine in November, 2019. Ambassador Galadza expertly and skillfully navigated the Embassy through the covid pandemic and the first 500 days of Russia’s genocidal war of aggression against Ukraine.
“The UCC is very grateful to Ambassador Galadza for her dedication, professionalism and exemplary service to Canada during very difficult times for Ukraine and the world,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “Ambassador Galadza oversaw the deepening of relations between Canada and Ukraine – and played a leading role in coordinating Canadian military, economic and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine at a critical time. It was an honour for the UCC to have worked closely with Ambassador Galadza. We wish her all success in future and look forward to continuing to work together.”
