The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) is asking you to email or call your Member of Parliament to urge them to support the modernization of the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement.
Recently Canada’s House of Commons voted to adopt Bill C-57, the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, 2023 in 2nd reading. The Bill will be coming up for 3rd reading in the next few days.
Bill C-57 will implement the modernized CUFTA as negotiated by Canada and Ukraine and help increase trade and economic ties between our two countries.
The UCC was disappointed that that the Official Opposition voted against this important legislation. We call on the Official Opposition to revisit this position before third reading.
Russia is waging a genocidal war of aggression against Ukraine. In order to defeat Russia, the Ukrainian people need our sustained support. Ukraine needs assistance in strengthening economic resilience.
We need your help to make sure free trade modernization passes the House unanimously!
