On November 25, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) held its Annual General Meeting online with more than 90 delegates and guests in attendance from across Canada. The AGM was chaired by Ann Szyptur, UCC First Vice-President.
The AGM heard a report from Alexandra Chyczij, UCC National President. President Chyczij’s Annual Report focused on the Three Pillars of the UCC’s work: Supporting Ukraine; Celebrating and Advancing our Ukrainian Canadian Identity; and Developing our Ukrainian Canadian Community
The AGM also heard reports on progress on the establishment of the new community foundation (John Denysek); progress on the implementation of Resolutions adopted by the XXVII Triennial Congress (Vice President Natalie Jatskevych); the Treasurers’ Report (Alanna Mycak); Audit Committee (Eugene Cholkan); the Charitable and Education Trust (Demyan Hyworon) and an update on the UCC/UWVA Ukrainian Canadian Sacrifice Medal (Taras Jackiw).
