Ottawa, ON – June 17, 2024 – The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) is pleased to introduce Katya Morozevych as a valuable addition to its team for the summer of 2024. Thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs program, the UCC continues its tradition of providing meaningful work experience to young Canadians while enhancing its organizational capacity.
The Canada Summer Jobs program allows many community organizations to hire students, providing them with relevant work experience and a great summer employment opportunity.
Throughout the summer, Katya Morozevych will contribute to various aspects of the UCC’s operations, including enhancing our social media presence, managing daily communications, and assisting in planning upcoming programming initiatives.
“We look forward to the energy and fresh perspectives Katya will bring to our team,” says UCC Executive Director Ihor Michalchyshyn. “Her enthusiasm and dedication will undoubtedly enrich our efforts as we continue to serve and strengthen the Ukrainian Canadian community.”
Katya Morozevych is a promising addition to the UCC’s summer team, bringing with her a keen interest in community engagement and communications. Katya is a dedicated student who has just completed her first year in the Management program at the University of Toronto. Born in Canada to Ukrainian parents, she has a deep connection to her cultural heritage. With a strong passion for community service, she has worked as a summer camp counselor and Ukrainian interpreter, assisting children who came from Ukraine. An active member of the Ukrainian-Canadian community, she promoted Ukrainian culture and heritage and helped new Ukrainian students adjust to high school. In her younger years she was part of a bandura a capella. Katya also enjoys reading, traveling, and horseback riding. She is excited to join the Ukrainian Canadian Congress team to contribute to their mission and make a positive impact within the community.
We hope you will join us in welcoming Katya to our UCC community!
