April 4, 2025. OTTAWA, ON. Today Russia launched a heinous, barbaric ballistic missile attack on residential areas of Kryviy Rih. At least fourteen civilians, among them six children, have been murdered and at least 50 civilians have been injured. May the Memory of the Victims Be Eternal. Вічная Пам’ять.
In recent days, Russia has attacked, murdered and maimed Ukrainian civilians in Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipro, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and other Ukrainian regions. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) calls on Canada and allies to give Ukraine the weapons and tools Ukraine needs to defeat Russia.
“While Russia continues a monstrous campaign of terror bombing Ukrainian civilians, the Trump administration wilfully ignores these Russian crimes – thereby encouraging Russia to murder more Ukrainians,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “We call on Canada and allies to be clear-eyed about Russia’s refusal to agree to a ceasefire and to give Ukraine the weapons and ammunition Ukraine needs to win.”
