April 13, 2025. OTTAWA, ON. This morning, on Palm Sunday, Russia murdered 32 Ukrainian civilians, including two children, and injured 84 civilians, including ten children, in a barbaric bombing attack on Sumy.

“The inhuman carnage that Russia is committing against Ukraine will not stop until Canada and allies provide Ukraine the weapons and air defence systems needed to protect Ukrainian cities and defeat Russia. As President Zelenskyy said – talks do not stop ballistic missiles and bombs,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “Instead of appeasing Russia, as President Trump is trying – appallingly – to do, Canada and allies need to increase sanctions and designate Russia a terrorist state.”
