Like Stalin’s useful idiot Walter Duranty at the New York Times — after publishing several ridiculous defences of Anastasia Trofimova’s Russian propaganda film “Russians At War,” and a disgraceful photo essay, “Putin’s War” trying to elicit sympathy for the Russian criminals who invaded Ukraine — the useful idiots at the Globe and Mail have hired former RT propagandist Trofimova to whitewash the war crimes of the Russian Akhmat unit.
The Russian Akhmat unit are well-known sadists with a long, sordid and well-documented record of war crimes, crimes against humanity and other outrages across several countries and several wars. The Globe and Mail, once again, completely ignores this record.
Two days ago, Canada’s outgoing National Security Advisor Nathalie Drouin warned that Russia’s information war against Canada is increasingly successful.
For some reason unknown to us, the Globe and Mail has decided to abet Russia in that information war.
