February 4, 2026. OTTAWA, ON. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) announces that Ihor Michalchyshyn, CEO and Executive Director, will be leaving the UCC on April 10, 2026 to begin the next chapter of his professional career. A search for his replacement was opened today.
“The Ukrainian Canadian community is profoundly grateful to Ihor Michalchyshyn, who served as CEO and Executive Director of the UCC with commitment, passion and professionalism. For a decade, Ihor ably led our staff team and expertly managed the many programs of the UCC,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “Through an extraordinarily tumultuous time for Ukraine, for Canada, and for our community – the covid pandemic, Russia’s full-scale invasion, and many other challenges – Ihor’s leadership built a strong and resilient organization.”
