U.S. Army Europe and Africa will participate in exercise Rapid Trident 21 from Sept. 20 through Oct. 1 at the International Peacekeeping Security Centre near Yavoriv, Ukraine. Rapid Trident 21 is a Ukrainian-led, U.S. Army Europe and Africa assisted annual exercise designed to enhance interoperability among allied and partner nations, to demonstrate units are poised and ready to respond to any crisis. The purpose of the exercise is to train combat credible Army forces in Europe, enhance readiness and build interoperability through a brigade-level computer-assisted exercise with platoon-level maneuver training. The exercise also combines a brigade-level field training exercise with security and stability operations. Approximately 6,000 service members from 12 allied and partner nations will participate in the exercise.
