Ukrainian Day Festival

Celebrating all things Ukrainian in Alberta!

More Information will be posted regularly on https://uccab.ca/ukrainian-day/

We are excited to announce that the annual Ukrainian Day Festival is back this summer! Mark your calendars and join us for a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence and Ukrainian Day on August 22, 2021. This year, we are presenting a festival that will involve a diverse online program, self-guided components and an outdoor community zabava.

Virtual Event

The virtual component of the festival will feature multiple segments and contributions from various groups in the Ukrainian community, such as our schools, youth groups, choirs, theatres, and dance ensembles in Alberta. This will include recorded original video performances and educational resources that showcase Ukraine’s quest for independence.

Visit the UCC-APC Facebook page for more information!

Zabava

The outdoor community zabava is hosted at camp Bar-V-Nok at Pigeon Lake. For the first time, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council brings their annual Ukrainian Day Festival to a beautiful Pigeon Lake for a unique community gathering! We welcome you to this family-friendly event. Join us for a picnic-style concert from 2-4 pm which will feature Zabava y Koli, Ihor Bohdan, as well as other talented Ukrainian musicians from both Edmonton and Calgary. Supervised children’s activities will include teacher-led dance classes, face painting, a photo booth, and more!

(Limited capacity! Reserve your tickets in advance.)

Self-Guided Tour

The self-guided components of the festival include installations of children’s artwork at various locations in Edmonton and Calgary between August 22-25. The participants will be able to explore this component of the event on their own time.

Don’t miss out on the experience! Follow the event on Facebook.
