
Darcy Koshman

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) is pleased to welcome Mr. Darcy Koshman as its new Treasurer. Mr. Koshman was appointed by the Board of Directors on May 12, 2021. The UCC thanks outgoing treasurer, Mr. Vincent Didkowsky, who served as treasurer since 2019 for his service and dedication to our community.
“We are very happy to welcome Mr. Koshman as our new treasurer. His experience, expertise and commitment will be a much-valued asset to our organization,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC.
Mr. Koshman brings a wealth of professional and community experience to the UCC, which will benefit the Ukrainian Canadian community.
For many years, Mr. Koshman has volunteered his time with the Ukrainian Canadian community, including as a Director and Treasurer at St John’s Institute, as an international election observer in Ukraine.
Mr. Koshman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a specialty in Political Science at the University of Alberta in 1976. He was granted the CGA designation in 2004.
After initially working as a sole practitioner, Mr. Koshman partnered with Dara Schaaf and has worked for 20 years as a business owner and operator. His specialty is assisting various enterprises with year-end financial reporting, tax planning, and offering his planning expertise.
He has served on many Boards, including the Strathcona County’s Sub Division and Development Appeal Board, Bylaw Enforcement and Review Board and Communities Futures, Elk Island and the Strathcona County Bylaw Enforcement and Review Board.
Mr. Koshman’s distinguished work, both professionally and through his community work, has earned him several awards, including the Strathcona County Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award, CGA Canada Top 100 Accountants Who Have Made a Difference, and the National Philanthropic Award.
