Saskatchewan Senator receives honourary Doctorate of Canon Law
(Winnipeg, MB) — On Friday, July 16, 2010, Senator Raynell Andreychuk was awarded an honorary Doctor of Canon Law (D.C.L.) (honoris causa) by St. Andrew’s College in Winnipeg (pictured below). She was given this prestigious award as a result of her extensive work in the field of human rights, her active involvement in the Canadian-Ukrainian community, and particularly, her contribution to promoting awareness of the Holodomor Famine/Genocide of 1932/33.
