YWG Honours TShev 2015

On March 7th 2015, Ukrainian Canadian youth met in front of the Taras Shevchenko Monument on the grounds of the Manitoba Legislative Building to honour the 201st Anniversary of his birth.  Representatives of PLAST and Ukrainian Youth Association CYM placed a wreath at the foot of the monument and listened to short biography of Shevchenko’s life.

 

This is an annual event held on the Saturday nearest Shevchenko’s birth date, March 9.
