Eugene is an experienced accounting and financial restructuring professional. He is a former partner of BDO Canada LLP, one of Canada’s largest accounting and advisory firms. He practiced exclusively in the Financial Recovery Services area of the firm since 1996 including 16 years as a partner.
Eugene has successfully assisted many businesses on multiple fronts – financial reporting, operational improvements, cash management, debt negotiations, liquidation of non-core assets, debt refinancing, and formal insolvency proceedings.
Eugene also provides debt restructuring and refinancing assistance to secured lenders and borrowers. He serves many of the larger banks and provides advice on corporate reorganizations, receivership assignments, proposals, bankruptcy matters, and liquidations. He takes a practical and creative approach to solving problems.
Eugene has also helped numerous professionals and self-employed individuals restructure their debts with Canada Revenue Agency, banks and other creditors.
Eugene is a past board member of the Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals and has participated in various working committees of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.
