February 1, 2022. OTTAWA, ON. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) calls on all Canadians to contact their Member of Parliament and tell them they support Canada providing Ukraine defensive weapons.
Yesterday, the House of Commons held a take-note debate on Ukraine, with the participation of the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada; the Honourable Erin O’Toole, Leader of the Opposition; and Jagmeet Singh, Leader of the New Democratic Party – together with many Members of Parliament of all parties.
“The UCC is grateful to Canadian parliamentarians for the strong support for Ukraine that we saw in the House of Commons yesterday,” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “The threat of a further Russian invasion of Ukraine grows every day. Please contact your Member of Parliament today and add your voice to the growing calls for Canada to join our allies and provide Ukraine with defensive weapons.”
