OTTAWA, ON – March 4, 2024 – The Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Charitable and Educational Trust is excited to launch the Youth Ambassadors Program aimed at developing the next generation of Ukrainian Canadian leaders.
“The Youth Ambassadors Program represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders who will carry forward the legacy of our Ukrainian Canadian community,” stated Christine Czoli, C&E Trustee.
The annual eight-month program will offer Ukrainian Canadian leaders between the ages of 18 and 30 the opportunity to develop expertise in project management, policy, advocacy, and coalition building among other skills. Participants will then usetheir knowledge to deliver meaningful projects within communities across Canada nationwide.
“We are thrilled to provide emerging leaders with the tools and resources they need to make a tangible difference,” said Ihor Michalchyshyn, CEO & Executive Director of the UCC. “The Youth Ambassadors Program aligns with our mission of growing our community, celebrating our Ukrainian Canadian identity, and supporting Ukraine.”
