On July 9-11, leaders of the states of NATO will meet in Washington, DC for the NATO Summit.
As Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine rages on for a third year, the NATO Summit will be key in securing assistance to Ukraine. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently stated that he “expects Allies to agree for NATO to take the lead in coordination and provision of security assistance and training for Ukraine. Mr. Stoltenberg has also proposed a long-term financial pledge to give Ukraine more predictability in the support they receive.”
