UCC Holodomor Awareness, Education and Archives Assistant

Devon Sereda Goldie is a Ukrainian-Canadian artist, academic, and community activist. She holds a BFA double major in Applied Theatre and Environmental Studies and is currently completing her MA in Applied Theatre and Ukrainian Studies at the University of Victoria. Her research investigates how theatre and the arts can be utilized as healing modalities from intergenerational trauma in the Ukrainian community. She works part-time for the Ukrainian World Congress as a Social Media and Admin Assistant.
Devon serves in leadership positions for numerous Ukrainian community organizations and not-for-profits, including President of the Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Society of Vancouver Island, and Past President/Co-Founder of the UVic Ukrainian Students’ Society. She is deeply passionate about sharing the story of the Holodomor and is thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to this important work.
