On January 22, Ukrainians mark the Day of Unity of Ukraine. On January 22, 1919, the Unification Act, uniting Ukrainian lands into a single, independent state, was proclaimed.
Almost two years ago, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, seeking to destroy the Ukrainian state and annihilate the Ukrainian people. Defending Ukraine’s freedom and the freedom of Europe, the Ukrainian people valiantly stand as one. All Ukrainians contribute to a common purpose – Ukraine’s Victory.
On this Day of Unity, we honour all those who have fallen defending Ukraine’s freedom. We unite in the hope that this year will be the year of Ukrainian Victory. We Stand With Ukraine.
