April 16th is Holodomor Remembrance Day during April Genocide Remembrance, Condemnation and Prevention Month in schools

We call upon educators and administrators to commemorate the Holodomor in your classrooms and schools on this day.

The Holodomor has been included as a topic within the Ontario curriculum and most provinces across Canada since 2013. In November of 2023, the Ontario Minister of Education mandated the Holodomor to be taught as a topic in the Grade 10 Canadian History course by 2025.
