Russia is trying to destroy Ukraine and annihilate the Ukrainian people. The Russian terrorist attack on Kyiv – in which Russia murdered nine Ukrainian civilians and injured over 70 – is an act of barbarism and depravity. May the Memory of the Victims Be Eternal.
In blaming Ukraine for resisting Russian aggression and in attempting to force a punitive “peace” upon the Ukrainian people, US President Trump is abetting and encouraging Russia’s destruction of Ukraine.
Not long ago, the United States stood for liberty, justice and human rights. Today the responsibility to protect these values must be taken up by those in the Free World who still believe in them – including Canada.
The UCC calls on Canada and our allies to provide Ukraine with the air defence systems necessary to protect Ukrainian skies and the weapons necessary to defeat Russia’s aggression.
