Tomorrow, April 28, is Election Day across Canada. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) encourages everyone to vote and have their voice heard.
“Democracy is the foundation of our freedom, and its continued strength depends on our engagement and participation.” stated Alexandra Chyczij, National President of the UCC. “It is our duty to vote, because we can!”
In order to ensure that our community and all Canadians are well-informed of the parties’ positions ahead of the election, the UCC surveyed Canada’s national party leaders on their position on the policy priorities of our community:
- Canadian security and defence
- Canadian and global energy security
- Supporting Ukraine’s defence
- Isolating and holding Russia to account
- Assisting Displaced Ukrainians
